These in fact were centers of hope for world lay public. It was believed that under its shelter many people for a long time span shall get comfort so as to lead peaceful lives. But alas all their hopes fizzled to naught. Bombs made from basket full of dynamite were dropped on these buildings and in a jiffy they were pounded to dust. In this manner creation was defeated and destruction tasted victory.
Man possesses both the power to destroy and create too. He can destroy and neo create too. Once energy is used for a particular purpose it will reach its target be it destruction or creation.
If these powerful personalities involved in sending scores of people into the jaws of death had instead used their skills in the field of education, agriculture, gardening, sculpting, acting etc they could have aided great world human progress. But what can we say about demons inebriated by war frenzy? They are only immersed in arrogantly sitting on the heads of those people who steer the ship called this world and thus inflict untold wealth and human loss the world over.
Innumerable people the world over are unable to get 2 square meals a day. Hence even if for 1 minute weapon production is stalled these hungry people can imbibe new life force,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. This is the great thinking of known specialists,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
In this world there are more than 15 million people whose annual income is about 500 rupees,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Today about 17.5 million people are getting trained for waging wars. They are being trained to imbibe the ‘art’ of using murderous weapon, killing other humans and thus destroying precious wealth of the world. This then is their ‘artistic skills’. All specialties of their inner personality are used for this goal. Apart from this some 70 million people are immersed in designing/production of weapons and running industries to fulfill other requirements related to the armed forces. Apart from this is the highly intellectual set of people who via their brain talent conduct such research and unearth techniques with the aid of which very easily more and more destruction can ensue. They think that their talent shall succeed by unfolding less expensive and more potent solutions for destroying world people and hordes of wealth.
According to well known specialists on an average in this world 1 million dollars are used for weapons per minute. With the help of so much cash at least 100 new jobs can be created or else 100 flats can be built. If for 6 minutes production of weapons is stopped then with this saved money a very modern hospital with latest medical technology can be constructed.
With the amount of expenses used to produce weapons per minute, 4000 tons milk can be bought.
If all this wealth is used for constructing houses in the subsequent year then about each of these 200 million people will get a respectable roof over their heads that today are living in slums which are worse than sheds in which animals are kept. If gigantic arrangements are made for less expensive cottage industries in the 1st year, building homes in the 2nd year, education in the 3rd year, health in the 4th year and electricity/dams/transport/communication etc in the 5th year then this 5 year plan can positively transform the destiny of 17.5 billion people that constitute half the world’s population. In fact this can be done by Russia and USA itself. And even if not with full zeal even with limited zeal other countries of the world step in this direction know for sure that all the backwardness of the world shall disappear into thin air. Thus nowhere shall we see the terrific Tandav dance of agony and downfall which today with its hell like burning and stench is marring the world’s atmosphere.
Studies by Soviet Union conclude that merely in the production of nuclear weapons 20000 such scientists and technicians are at work that from the standpoint of intellectual skills are of very high stature. Even if one tries to imagine this our hands will stand on end. If for 1 year weapon production is stopped then this wealth saved can solve so many problems faced the world over. In order to ward off illiteracy in the world it takes on an average 0.1 million rupees to open 1 primary school. In this manner 4,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],147,000 such schools can be opened. If in 1 school 200 students get admission then primary education can thus be imparted to 829,440,000 children of the world. As those of you who have followed my blog know,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I am inspired by the great Chinese Sage of 2300 years ago, Mencius, who said,
As the fairy tales tell us, the path is long and filled with impossible tasks, but if we take the advice of magical helpers on the way, and follow their instructions, we end up with the kingdom.
These practices give us a means of making a deep exploration of our selves. As inscribed at the temple to Apollo in Delphi, Greece, the answer to life is it “know thyself.” In order to find the lost heart we must embark on a journey of self-knowledge. The journey down the yellow brick road is a journey into the self. We must learn how to go within, as all the great heroes have before us, and discover the “jewel in the lotus.” In our deepest depths, we find what the Indians in the Upanishads would call Atman, the ultimate within the heart. Gestalt therapy is a good way to learn how to do this. This is a phenomenological method,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which means that you learn how to go within and listen to the silent voice of the heart, your authentic self.

The Path of Wisdom
Yantras are not only to be found in the writings of the wise but can come in many forms. They are in all the products of culture. They are in myths, rituals, fairy tales, mandalas, the results of scientific research, and art and literature. This path of devotion through contemplating the yantras of culture is known in German as bildung. Bildung is another essential way to develop our innate potentials. Bildung involves not simply an intellectual exercise but the participation of the complete person in the process of self development that leads to a realization of ultimate character. Whether you read The Frog Prince, Victor Hugo, or David Foster Wallace; listen to the music of Mozart, Ray Davies, or Taylor Swift; watch the movies, Citizen Kane, Groundhog Day or Ratatouille; you will find the answer wherever you look if you immerse yourself in the work.
The wisdom of the ages tells us that to find the answer requires a quest. The method I propose may take more work then you’d like, but,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unlike the Cardinal's cure, it will work. It includes wisdom that has been proven by thousands of years of historical experience, and modern insights proven by cutting edge science.
The study of the great wisdom of humankind is one important path to finding the lost heart because these texts are the evidence left behind by the great heroes of self-discovery who have travelled this road before us. These writers went into themselves, and the words they write tell us what they found there. Because we can never truly put what is deepest about being human into words, their utterances require contemplation to grasp. Their meanings are endless. The more we immerse ourselves in them, the more we find. These writings are symbolic in a particular way. I call them yantras, where a yantra is a complex symbol that is used as a revelatory conduit for cosmic truths.
Ultimately, what we discover is that our source of compassion and empathy, the core of our ability for moral action, is the heart itself. Just like the tongue knows the delicious and the eye the beautiful, the heart is the part of us that has a taste for goodness. When we have access to our hearts, we know the good from the inside. Cultivating the self and finding the heart, are in the end, about developing our source of goodness, which we all share, and is within us. In this way we develop what Mencius called imperturbability. Tillich called this the ‘courage to be,’ the ability to act from our hearts in the face of any external threat or danger. Once we grow this ability, we have what Mencius called ‘flood-like ch’I,’ which is access to the endless stream of universal energy. No fear of rejection or failure can stop us. We can do anything.
In order to find our hearts we also must care for the heart’s temple, our bodies. Good nutrition, exercise, rest and sex with an intimate partner are some of the primary ways of caring for our bodies. Health counselors trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition can provide terrific information on the best way to care for your body in order to optimize energy, mood, health and well-being.
The answer is that in order to solve our problems and get what we want in life, we need to find our lost hearts. And the way to do this is to live a life of self-cultivation. What does this mean, and how do we do it?
The Path of Action
The Path of Healing
I believe that we have problems in our lives because we have lost our hearts. Since “essence,” -- that which makes a thing what it is and no other -- is known as “the heart of the matter,” our essential nature is what Mencius means by the term, “heart.” What this means then, is that we experience unnecessary suffering because we are, as theologian Paul Tillich stated it, estranged from our essential nature. This essential nature is what the Greek philosopher Aristotle called our entelechy, which is that which we are meant to be.
The most important aspect of this path is daily study. In the collected sayings of Confucius, called the Analects, the very first statement is, “Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant perseverance and application?” But the purpose of this learning is not an accumulation of facts or information. Its point is the personal development of the individual.
Next on our path of finding the heart, we must envision that which we want to become. A unique capacity of the human heart is the ability to imagine. As the ancient Greek myth put it, Prometheus created us upright so that we could contemplate the stars. We are aspirational beings. If we can imagine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we can imagine a supreme, an ultimate. As a means of finding the lost heart, the Chinese philosophers spent much of their time visualizing the ultimate person, which they called, jen. The clearer the vision we have of what it is that we want to become, the more likely we are of becoming that thing. The quarterback needs to see the ball being caught in the endzone in order to make the touchdown. In order to develop this image we need to find symbolic heroes who hold the qualities we long to realize. By contemplating and communing with these ideal figures, we free these attributes within ourselves. Napoleon Hill, in his book, Think and Grow Rich has a wonderful exercise where he communes nightly with his board of ideal advisers in order to accomplish his goals.
What is our essence? What are we meant to be? I believe that we are all meant to think, feel, act, imagine and connect in the best possible way. When those natural attributes are optimally developed we become wise, passionate, strong, creative and loving. This results in inner harmony, loving relationships, a productive social order and peaceful politics. This is an embodiment, and fulfillment, of the laws of human nature and universal nature. This is our evolutionary purpose and what is best both for the species and the universe as a whole.
A central way that we become distanced from that which we are meant to become is as a result of our relationships. When things go right in our earliest and most important relationships, we develop our potentials in the best possible way. As Mencius knew from observing nature, anything properly cultivated will grow. As we all live in a lost hearted world and each one of us is raised by flawed parents, we are all, more or less,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and in different ways, emotionally wounded. When we do not receive the proper emotional sunlight, soil and water, we do not grow in the best possible way.
As a result of our wounds, we might live our lives believing that we are the problem, that we are broken or bad. We must uncover the true stories of our lives, and discover how we were taught these falsehoods about ourselves, how we learned that we are scullery maid instead of princess. New therapeutic techniques have been developed to help us process those early stories so we can transcend them. In so doing, we can end the emotional suffering these wounds caused, and learn how to transform our shame into self-love, which is central to getting what we want in life. My favorite method for this is based on a method called EMDR.
One way to do this is to study the ancient wisdom texts from every culture, whether it is the Upanishads from India, the Four Books of the Chinese, the poems of Rumi, the Confessions of St. Augustine, or the Old Testament of the Hebrews. Confucius devoted his life to the study of ancient wisdom texts because he believed that the past is an inexhaustible source of content for self-discovery. He believed that in the sincere search of ancient texts one finds true knowledge. The classic texts are the best guide to understanding ourselves. This is the Hindu knowledge path of jnana-marga.
Finally, we must learn to live from our integrity and do the right thing. When what we want to do and what we should do are in harmony,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then we have inner peace. This right thing is not something imposed by external doctrine or held in the dogma of religion, though we might be able to learn a great deal about the good and true from such sources.
We become distanced from that which we are meant to be due to relationship failures in our upbringing. As a result of this, we are living in some way out of alignment with our own nature. When we are distanced from our nature, we live out of alignment with nature in general. We have, what Mencius would call,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a lost heart. This results in our suffering and problems.
In the fairy tale, Cat Skin,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as a result of the childhood emotional wound of incest, the princess hides her dress of diamonds in a walnut shell, covers herself in ash, lives under a staircase and does the work of the scullery maid. She has a lost heart. Because of her childhood wounds, she has hidden the best of herself, and lives a life of shame. The disguise becomes so convincing, she forgets that she is really a princess. This yantric fairy tale shows us in symbolic form the story that we all live. As a result of our childhood wounds, we hide our beauty. The low identity we create becomes so convincing we lose touch with the glorious beings we actually are. The next step in finding our hearts is to heal these wounds of the past so that we can bring our dress out of the walnut shell and reclaim our throne.
Nature is the best yantra. It provides all the wisdom we need to embody and live from our hearts. Spending time in nature is essential to finding and living out our true nature.
The Path of Devotion
The essence of finding one’s heart can be distilled into five basic steps.
We are all looking to end our emotional suffering and solve our life's problems. We long to answer: How can I find love, stop being so anxious, lose weight, make money, have more energy, have a better marriage, be a better parent?
Methods like the 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous also teach us the importance of taking responsibility for our own past and present behaviors. Part of the devotion to the recovery of our hearts is to look closely at the hurts we have caused to ourselves and others and to do all we can to rectify those wounds.
Though these early interactions leave very deep traces, we continue to grow and develop through life. Mencius said, “The principle of self-cultivation consists in nothing but trying to find the lost heart.” This means that we can live out our entelechy, we can be what we are meant to be,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we can realize our optimal potentials, we can end our unnecessary suffering and solve our problems, through working on ourselves.
Finding true fulfillment begins and ends with living a life of devotion to finding our lost heart. The devotion to a life of self-discovery and realization is a personal bhakti marga, which is a Sanskrit word for the path of devotion. This total intellectual, moral, and emotional commitment to daily practice is more important than the particular method itself. As Sri Ramakrishna said, “One can reach god if one follows any of the paths with whole hearted devotion.”
“Pity the man who has lost his path and does not follow it, and lost his heart and does not go out and recover it.”
What does life become when we follow these paths and find our hearts? By following the path of finding the lost heart we live in accordance with what the ancients called “the Tao,” or The Way. We are in harmony with our own and cosmic nature. Our problems are symptoms that indicate we are living out of harmony with the Tao. When we find this central harmony, our problems dissolve. We receive the rewards for our efforts. We have great relationships and realize profound intimacy. We discover and live out our heart’s vocation and do work we love. We become prosperous. We feel great, and are healthy in mind, body and spirit. We look great and have our best body. We live a long and energetic life. We are great parents and raise happy children. We find true success, living out our meaning and purpose. We live lives of giving. We give and receive infinitely increasing love. We contribute to the healing of the planet. We find deep spirituality and a live a life of connectedness to the all.
The next step in finding the heart is to take actions in the present. This corresponds to the path of karma-marga. The most important thing we can do in our lives right now to help us find the heart is to learn how to truly connect with others. If we were wounded by relationships in our lives, learning how to have relationships in the present provides us with a core means of self-realization. We need to learn the methods of authentic connection in order to become all we are meant to be. Harville Hendrix’s IMAGO technique provides one wonderful way of doing this. In this technique we learn how to speak from our hearts, and truly listen to another. We learn how to express our needs in healthy ways and meet the needs of others.

This is the source of creativity. It is the gift we bring back for others to share, to help them on their own paths of finding their hearts. By creating, we find out who we are. As William Faulkner said, “I never know what I think of something until I read what I've written on it.” Part of our essential purpose is to express ourselves. The quality of what we create is not our concern. Our job is, as the inventor of modern dance, Martha Graham, said to her student,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Agnes De Mille, “to keep the channel open.”
Science has now proved this to be true. When we get the proper love in early childhood our brain grows the way it is supposed to. When we do not get love in our early life, our brain does not develop to its full potential.
Throughout history, everyone has wanted an instant cure, a quick fix, a magic pill. Cardinal Richelieu, who lived in the 17th century, was prescribed a mixture of horse dung and white wine to cure his ills. Unfortunately, it didn't work. He died. The instant cure doesn't work. Whenever we try to take a shortcut, we never reach our destination. And even though I am a psychotherapist, psychotherapy alone is not enough to give us what we need.

There are some people who clearly hear spoken or telepathic messages from their guides. This demonstrates that just as Divine Love is limitless, so too are the ways in which guiding energies present themselves. “
“Let us first remember that all things are energy in one form or another. Energy is simply light that vibrates at varying frequencies. The more rapid the vibration, the more light it contains. All guidance comes forth from this source. Just as humans find resonance with certain other humans, yet may feel less harmony with others, so it is with the energies referred to as guides. The only element that remains is to discern the form in which the guidance has appeared. Your spiritual guides patiently wait for you to recognize their presence. When you begin to realize that the guidance you have asked for is present, then the only thing left to do is to become still and listen with your heart. It is true that guides, or guidance, can at times be seen with the physical eye, but they may also be seen through clairvoyant vision. The latter is accomplished as the viewer raises their vibration to a sufficient level through which they are able to “see” ethereal energy. This energy is vibrating at a frequency that is higher than that of physical things. An example could be the experiences of those who have seen the apparitions of Mother Mary in places such as Medjugore. Some are able to see the apparitions and some are not. Those who have seen accomplished this by a shift in their vibration that allows them to see energy of similar frequency.
Guides can “look” like humans, animals, angels, swirling masses of energy, spheres of light, glittering sparks of light, etc.
To this day,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], nearly every time I teach or practice Reiki out in nature, a white butterfly appears. But the most amazing time was one winter day, in the mountains of Colorado. I was teaching a class in my home. I had just told the longer version of this story, when a student said “You are not going to believe this. Look out the window behind you.” I turned to see a white butterfly fluttering back and forth outside the window. Miraculously, this happened when the temperature was below 40 degrees and there was four inches of newly fallen snow blanketing the earth. I give thanks to the loving guidance from Usui Sensei, which is available for all of us when we invite Reiki into our life.To this day, whenever I see a sunflower, or a butterfly, I smile and give thanks for my many blessings.
When you receive guidance it is wise to take the information into the stillness. Examine it from all angles, and at each vantage point, or perception,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], pause. Focus on the energy you hold in each of your chakras. What do you feel? Do you feel fear, agitation, anxiety, or peace, serenity, joy and jubilance? Once you have identified each of the feelings, use the same process to discern the basis for each feeling. Do your very best to still your mind, and allow your body and soul to speak to you. When you feel total peace in your heart, you will know you have embraced the choice, or the advice that holds the most light.

In what we are about to share with you, let it be known that as we speak of spiritual we refer to that which is sacred or reverent and that which honors the Divine within and without all life.
“To answer this question we shall establish a mutual understanding of “look”. Let us agree that in this question we are seeking an awareness of how guides can be identified. This would not limit one to the single sense of sight, but would expand to the ability to perceive with all senses.
Guides can also be perceived as a physical sensation upon one’s skin, or a tingle, pulse, or discomfort in a part of the body. Guides can come in the form of thoughts that seem to come from nowhere, and everywhere at the same time. Guides can come as words that flow from your mouth, or your pen, when you have no prior thought or awareness that the words are forming. Guides can come to you as a prayer, a mantra, a song, or an affirmation that begins to float through your mind again and again. Guides can take the form of a tone, angelic chorus, or rhythm. Guides can come to you as a color or a message that you suddenly see everywhere. Some guides take the form of a scent or aroma, or the sensation of warmth or cold.
“The most important elements that affect the ability to communicate with your spiritual guidance are those of trust and discernment and a willingness to truly listen. When one invites assistance from the angelic realms and inner plans, and asks for guidance, it is Universal law that the guiding energies come forth. Once you recognize this to be true, you then know that when you ask you do receive.
Q. How do I know guides are really there?
“Once again, the answer here is in the silence of stillness. When you become silent and you think about or meditate on the guidance you are receiving,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], listen to the silence within. Do you feel comfortable, or uneasy? Do you feel peaceful and totally still from the depths of your soul? Do you feel your own Divine power? When you feel peace, you have found your answer.
Many people find the concept of spiritual guides, angels, Reiki guides, and enlightened beings to be beyond belief. This is often simply because they may not yet understand how to work with these beings of Divine love. Over my years of working with Reiki and following my soul’s longing to learn about the angelic realms and inner planes, I have developed a deep inner knowing that we have spiritual helpers, guides and assistance all around us, and within us.
After pondering and praying about the idea and listening with my heart, that suggestion felt very right. What follows is a question and answer session with those guides, angels and spiritual beings that have come forward to help us learn and grow in the light of Divine love.

It is my intention in this article to share information that can help us all develop a better understanding of how we can work with our angels,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], guides, intuition and inner wisdom. So when I began to formulate thoughts for the article the first thing I did was ASK the guides and angels what to write here. The answer came quickly and very gently as a fleeting thought, “Interview us, we have much to share.”
With these things understood we come to know that a spiritual guide is simply energy that one invokes by asking for assistance. This energy then chooses a pathway of communication to offer suggestions regarding how you might proceed to make choices that support your growth and ability to experience the quality of life your heart and soul desires.”

The guides can help you find ways to work with Reiki to help you learn, grow and heal. They can help you know where to direct Reiki to help yourself or your clients. They can help you know when to suggest other healing modalities to complement Reiki. Guides can help you speak to the soul of another living being and discern the most effective way to be of service. Conversely they can help you recognize detrimental behaviors, actions and thoughts while providing suggestions for replacing them with healthier patterns.”
Rarely is there only one answer to any question. There are usually many options, which can produce beneficial results in varying degrees.
The actual identity of the guide, or even its vibration is irrelevant. What is important is what you do with the advice you receive, how you measure its relevance in your life, and the actions you take once you have been helped to connect with your own Divine wisdom.”
“This is one area where discernment is very important. The first step is to use your spiritual tools such as Reiki to raise your vibration and strengthen your light. When the light of love that you emanate is strong, clear and bright, you welcome similar spiritual energies into your life. Even the most magnificent being of light has the ability to lift up these shadows. The greatest test of discernment is the level of peace in your heart when advice or direction is offered to you.
Q. Are Reiki guides different than angels, or other spiritual guides?
In closing I would like to share one of my favorite examples of the many forms in which guides can appear. Several years ago William Rand and I visited Mt. Kurama and Usui Sensei’s grave. We brought sunflowers to the gravesite, and placed them in the vases among the many flowers left by others. The moment the sunflowers were in place a beautiful white butterfly landed on them. We bathed the stones at the gravesite,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], burned incense, prayed and meditated for over four hours. During the entire time the butterfly stayed with us. In meditation we asked Usui Sensei to guide us and help us find ways to use Reiki to assist humanity in awakening to peace. The moment we stepped out of the gravesite and on to the sidewalk, the butterfly followed us and disappeared.

Everyone knows about Rishi-Munis serving the world and performing righteous activities. But along with this in order to attain the goal, time and again they perform intense penance. Every important person has to execute this in their own way. They will have to do this because the awakening, uplifting and nourishing of God given energies are not possible without executing due austerities. If the inner personality is not sanctified, radiant and spiritually mature success that is worth praising will elude us. Success attained via unethical, terror based means are like those illusory miracles shown by magicians which do not last long. During India’s freedom fighting days Maharshi Raman performed intense austerities by undergoing Mauna or silence. Apart from this, great souls in remote Himalayan Mountains too performed intense penance. Even in my case this stature of activity was placed in front of me. They are not only full of weight age but are very important too. One of them is to imbibe so much soul force that worldwide destructive elements can be overcome. The second is to instill that inspiration and potential in creative people without which they are not being able to do anything much for world well being. The third is to create necessary circumstances and encourage wholesome activities the world over so as to usher in a New Era. All these 3 important tasks cannot be carried out by the gross body. Its limits and capacity are very narrow. Sense organ power can work only in limited areas and can carry only limited weight. The body made of flesh,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], blood etc which walks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], talks, sleeps etc has very less capacity. Thus only very limited tasks can be executed by it. Limited endeavors can help the physical body function smoothly and can maybe benefit a few people related to the body. But for more widespread and gigantic tasks there is an imminent requirement of advancing/maturing the subtle and causal bodies. When all 3 bodies are equally potent and mobile only then can gigantic endeavors succeed which is the need of the hour, the world over.
In the layman’s eyes this could be looked upon as escapism but in fact it was not so. According to subtle seers Shri Aurobindo Ghosh generated intense energy of an invisible stature. The atmosphere got hot and there was a time that many great men, leaders took birth in India. This has never been witnessed anywhere in the annals of history. Political leaders can be born anywhere and anyone can become one but great men from every standpoint are of high stature. Their character and inner personality are so great that they have the capacity to create zeal and zest in the psyche of world humanity. For 2000 years India was a slave of foreign rule and hence it truly required such great ship captains. Not one but many with such greatness manifested together like cyclones manifesting in very hot summer. As a result Shri Aurobindo Ghosh’s powerful resolve later bore fruit which previously was not possible because the other means used were not so powerful.
While keeping in mind the principle that bigger the task bigger is its remedy this time via special austerities the subtle atmosphere will be transformed. Hence its stature and nature is difficult. In the preliminary days the task given to me was to sanctify people’s psyche, congregating spiritually awakened souls and instilling zest in creative endeavors. If this was enough this would have been managed by the rich using their own savings or by asking for donations and by this time the situation would have become a whole lot better. Many tried a great deal to do so. Many used the path of preaching and spreading this message but alas the required goal remained unfulfilled. My Master who understood the bare reality clearly, initially asked me to do one thing. He commanded me to perform Gayatri Mahapurashcharan spiritual practice for 24 years. Up till now this ‘earning’ has helped me perform various tasks for world well being. If at all I have been able to uplift my self, other individuals and society at large it is because of these 24 years of intense austerities which gave me a vault of spiritual energy. At that time I had not merely chanted Mantras but along with this I had executed many vows, do’s and don’ts etc.
This then was the description of my daily routine of past times. In the present times that very Divine Energy (Guru) has commanded me to leap forward spiritually on whose directions I have danced like a puppet for my entire life. Now I have had to enter a new high stature class of austerities. The ordinary person is merely aware that I am in solitude and that I am not meeting anyone. This information is only half true. This is because when a person (like my self) whose very being is full of hard work, regularity and full of management cannot lead a life of lethargy and wastage of time as is generally being understood by most people. In fact in solitude I have had to put in much more effort. I am that much busier and by imbibing the routine of not meeting anyone I have had to keep in touch with just the bare few. While thus keeping in touch, so much time lapses by and the heart remains unfulfilled. Then how can this be called solitude? How can it be said I am not meeting anyone? It is only in the method of my working that a bit of change has taken place. Only the topic and class of those people whom I meet has changed. Then how can anyone allege that I am an escapist who has renounced all activity? A man/woman of austerities always lives thus. When a top is spinning at very high speed it appears as though it is standstill. One realizes that it is on the move only when its speed of spinning decreases and due to lack of balance it falls down.
The life of Jesus Christ too was of this sort. After making intense efforts for his entire life he could make only 13 disciples. He saw that with his gross body not much work could be done as much as he wished. Hence in such a situation it was thought apt to take help of the subtle body and thus spread Christianity in the entire world. At times of such transformations great saints accept death full of hardship and thus repay their spiritual debt. Christ died on the cross, Socrates drank poison, Krishna died due to an arrow, Pandavas disappeared in the Himalayas, Gandhiji died due to a bullet,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Adi Shankaracharya died due to a major disease etc. Thus from the gross body they entered the subtle body by killing the gross body very painfully. Such deaths are a great sacrifice and they inspire world humanity to sanctify themselves so as to become radiant. This is exactly what happened to me and will happen in future too.
In the history of spiritual science for high stature goals the only method applicable is austerity based spiritual endeavor. It cannot be generated by living a lifestyle of worldly comforts. In order to become mentally and soulfully focused one cannot remain extroverted and execute external activities. These in fact scatter to naught our divine energy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. As a result focus of mind eludes us which are akin to focusing solar rays on a lens so that terrific fire emerges. In order to pen 18 Puranas or Indian Mythology Vyasji went to the Vasodhara peak cave in Uttarakhand (India). Along with him went Lord Ganesh on the condition that he would not utter a word so as to observe silence,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Anything less than this cannot reap success while important tasks are executed.
The deep rooted principles of austerities are self/sense control and apt usage. Due to sense organ control the stomach and hence bodily health will remain good. If sexual continence/Brahmacharya is observed the vault of will power remains full. Earning wealth via ethical means and using it intelligently will not lead to poverty and also illegal activities will come to a halt. Controlling time management helps utilize it for selfless service via hard work and mental focus. Thus there is no time remaining for unwholesome activities. Whatever one does now is good and beneficial for all. Thought based control leads to oneness of soul with others. Faith,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], spirituality and righteousness advance a great deal. Very naturally one executes spiritual practices of Yoga of Knowledge, Yoga of Devotion and Yoga of Action. Self control means ‘saving’. When the above types of self control are imbibed so much potential is saved which apart from looking after ones family can be used for great tasks in a big way. Those with self control do not fall into the gutter of desire, selfish yearnings and ego. Hence when one has to walk on the path of great endeavors excuses like lack of time, lack of finance,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], worries, problems play no part. Materialism and spiritualism walk hand in hand and one leads a light zestful life. About 60 years back my Gurudeva had taught me how to walk on this path. This sort of life continued ceaselessly. At certain times I was called by my preceptor to the Himalayas to recharge the battery of spirituality and the subtle atmosphere. In the past 30 years for 1 year at a time I had to go for living in solitude so as to perform special spiritual practices. The aim was one. And that was that in my penance’s zest and due efforts there should not be diminishing of faith and trust. Wherever there was a lack, it was filled duly. Spiritual practices performed on the Bhagirathi Rock in Gangotri (Himalayas, India) helped manifest the river of wisdom on earth and the direction and capacity to carry out Prajna Abhiyan (Thought based revolution) was attained. This time in Uttar Kashi region’s Parshuram Ashram, that axe was attained which helped create anger and agitation in the psyche of world humanity against unwholesome behavior/activities prevalent in the world. The mythological Lord Parshuram had cut off the heads of many terrorists of the world, time and again. Over here ‘cutting heads’ means ‘brain washing’. Within the realm of Thought Revolution or Prajna Abhiyan not only creative but reform based goals too succeed. In both these goals success was attained in a widespread manner. The credit goes to the potential of austerities and not ones limited prowess, miracles of various means or circumstances.
When Shri Aurobindo Ghosh returned to India from abroad he tried all means to drive away the British from India but his efforts did not reap success. He gathered many kings, students etc to form a single party to oppose the British regime but he realized later that such minor efforts will not succeed. For that power equal to that of the British rulers is required for political freedom. In those days it was not possible to carry out activities like Mahatma Gandhi’s Satyagraha. Thus Shri Aurobindo Ghosh took up the task of generating intense soul force so as to heat up the subtle atmosphere. He evaded being arrested by the alien British regime and settled down in Pondicherry which was at that time under French rule. There he remained in solitude, observed silence and performed intense austerities.

In those days when the great scientist Albert Einstein was involved in research of the atom a lot of change took place in his daily routine. In a big building he lived alone. Whenever he so desired he would live in total solitude. None would obstruct his great research endeavor. When he so desired he rang a bell for a servant’s help and got what he required. None could create obstruction in his tasks even if someone was his near, dear one. It was only after these strict arrangements were made that Einstein gave the world mind boggling scientific discoveries. Ere Einstein had been surrounded by friends/relatives, ere he were to get immersed in various mundane activities then like many others he would have wasted his precious life and thus the world would not have benefited as it has today. In ancient time the daily routine of Rishis-Munis too was of this caliber. They performed research on Soul Sciences. In order that they could work in a focused manner, they resided in areas devoid of chaos and they immersed themselves totally in attaining the goal.
The same situation was faced by Shri Ramkrishna Paramhans. He was called to carry out a worldwide task. As per the arrangement he transferred his potential into Vivekananda and in order to render the work arena easy and successful necessary circumstances were created. This gigantic task was not easy to execute merely by the gross body. Hence without any inhibitions Shri Ramkrishna Paramhans gave up the gross body. Also he incurred a debt because he gave blessings in excess of balance (energy) he possessed. Without fulfilling it everything came to a halt. Hence voluntarily he took up the dreaded cancer disease in his body,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Thus by fulfilling his debt he took up that activity through the medium of Vivekananda which was an order given to him by his great Guru. Visibly Shri Ramkrishna Paramhans ‘disappeared and people were sad because of his absence. But this happened for world well being,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Since he gave up his mortal coil thus his power augmented manifold,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. With its aid he helped (subtly) augment great tasks not only in India but in every corner of the globe. During his life time he gave a few blessings to his devotees and had the power to allot Vivekananda his gathered spiritual energy. I was deeply concerned about the survival of our auto industry while on the bullet train to Toyota's presentation. I wanted to let my readers know how I felt.
